Mike's Best Man Speech (MP3)

Here is Mike's best man speech from the wedding. Just as Doug's speech was 'very Doug', Mike's speech is 'very Mike'. I captured this audio directly from the wedding dvd using Sony Sound Forge 7.0. I also used Sound Forge to chop up the .wav file, fade out the ends and convert to 64 kbps mp3 compression. Download (1.71 MB)...
Doug's Best Man Speech (MP3)

Here is Doug's best man speech from the wedding. Classic lines throughout. The popsicle stick reference had me misty eyed... I captured this audio directly from the wedding dvd using Sony Sound Forge 7.0. I also used Sound Forge to chop up the .wav file, fade out the ends and convert to 64 kbps mp3 compression. Download (2.24 MB)...
Switcheroo (Photoshop)

Here is another project I did using Adobe Photoshop 7.0. I basically swapped Doug's head with Chuck's head using the Extract command, some smudging, some healing tool and some other random do-dads. Doug looks like a svelte wide receiver and Chuck looks like some deformed fat kid who likes hot dogs. Came out well- you can zoom in and it's still hard to tell this is a fake. View...
The Dance - Noel & Aimee Remix (MP3)

This was my first attempt at doing any real audio editing. I took the Garth Brooks song, The Dance, and spliced in clips of Noel talking about his ex-girlfriend during my brother Mike's 30th b-day party in DC. It's a touching montage and I'm rather proud of this initial effort. All audio capture, editing and rendering were done using Sony Vegas 4.0. Download (4.2 MB)...
The Passion of the Doug (Photoshop)

Here is a little project I did using Adobe Photoshop 7.0. Don't ask me why I thought of this. It just happened. It is by no means meant to be sacreligious, though I'm sure some will think it is. It is meant to use the Last Supper as a metaphor. I leave it up to the viewer to decide what the metaphor is- thus making it truly, modern art. View...
MikeyFest Teaser #2 (Flash)

This is one of my favorite pieces. It doesn't really showcase much Flash skill, but I think it does show my brand of humor. There's a ton of references in here and most people find themselves watching it over and over and over. It was a painstaking task because each frame took up a fraction of a second. I'd spend an hour working on it and discover I've only done 8 seconds of movie. *NOT SAFE FOR WORK* View...
MikeyFest Teaser #1 (Flash)

There was a lot of hype going around MikeyFest 2k3. It was the first time everyone (Rob, Ed, Mikey, Stick, D and me) got together at the same time. This Flash was used as fuel to the hype. It uses a couple of images that Rob created. It was something that I wanted to put together quick and dirty. View...
BruceHillPetSitting.com (Flash)

I guess I can call myself the official webmaster of BruceHillPetSitting.com. We thought it would be a good idea for Bruce to establish a web presence to help him build his client-base so I set up the initial site with some plain text and scant pictures. It stayed that way for a while until I created this Flash movie. The hardest part was synch-ing up the music with the pictures. Needless to say, we were all rather pleased with the final product. The Original MikeyFest (Flash)

This was my first attempt at creating something using Flash. I was unstaffed at work in '01 from mid-September till about mid-November so I had a ton of free time to pick up some new skills. I was surprised how easy it was, but I think being familiar with Adobe Photoshop certainly helped because a lot of the concepts are similar. My first Flash was with pictures I took when Rob, Ed, Stick, Kim and I went down to spend the weekend with Mikey in Philly. View...
