Ed's End-of-Summer BBQ

After seeing the bulk of my Hopatcong crew at my 30th b-day, I really didn't see anyone for quite a stretch. That was one of the reasons I wanted to make sure Jen and I went to Ed's end of of summer bbq at his house in Hopatcong. As always, it was a crazy time. I offended a bunch of people. I burnt some of Ed's possessions. I left without saying goodbye. A good time was had by most. More...

Around the World in 6 Days: My Trip to Malaysia

While working at Accenture, I've gotten the opportunity to travel to a number of places within the great United States. However, this was my first time traveling internationally for Accenture. I was asked to present to the CIO of Maxis, a mobile phone company in Malaysia. It was a CRAZY six days. I was in the air for a whopping forty hours! It was a great experience even though it knocked me out. More...

Ocean City, MD

For the past few years, Jen's parents have rented out a townhouse down in Ocean City, MD and invited the rest of the family. Since Jen and I were running around so much this summer, this ended up being our only true vacation. A great time was had by all. More...

BroFest 2006

Every year we host a gathering at our house that has become known as 'BroFest'. It's a time for good food, good drink and good people. This year's installment featured the return of my brother-in-law, Chuck, who brought his girlfriend, Lindsey. Other attendees included Doug, Steamer, Towel Boy, Noel, two of Noel's boyhood chums, Tim & Atilla, and lastly Mike McKenna who was a surprise guest. More...

Isabella Lilly Bauer's Baptism

en and I drove out to Long Island on Saturday for the baptism of Isabella- Jen's brother John's three-month old daughter. John had asked me and Jen to be Isabella's Godparents, so it was a doubly special occasion. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time spending a whole weekend with our beautiful God daughter. Accenture Gala 2005

Back in day, Accenture (then Andersen Consulting) used to have an annual black-tie affair that became affectionately known as the "Ander-Prom". After a few year hiaitus, it returned. We had a great time partying with my fellow co-workers at Capitale in lower Manhattan. Met up for a little pre-drinking with Scott A. and his wife, Chad and his better half, and Jerilyn and her husband Rich. More...

Chuck's Graduation from the Culinary Institute of America

It's pretty cool to be graduated from college at the tender age of 19. If anyone know's that, it's my brother-in-law, Chuck. After nearly two years at the Culinary Institute of America, way up on the Hudson River, he bade farewell and left as a certified CIA Alum. More...

Isabella Lilly Bauer

On Friday, March 10, 2006, John & Wendy (Jen's brother and sister-in-law), welcomed into the world their first child together- Isabella Lilly Bauer. She tipped the scales at 7 pound 11 ounces and 20.5 inches in length. Jen and I drove up to Long Island the day after she was born to see the new bundle of joy. All pictures on this site were taken within the first 24 hours of the new baby's life. More...

Here's Looking at Thirty...

I never thought I'd like a surprise birthday party. No sir, not in the least. That was until I actually had one. Jen planned out my surprise 30th b-day bash with perfect execution and precision. It was the greatest b-day I ever had. Surrounded by family and friends- many of whom came from far off distances and many of whom I hadn't seen in forever. Good times... More...

My Year In Virginia Comes to an End

On January 3, 2005, I began what would be over a year of working out of town. It was certainly a drain, but being with some great people really made my time in Virginia much more tolerable. More...

Mikey and Sarah

I've known Mikey ever since 5th grade. He is the namesake of the now infamous Mikeyfests. On Memorial Day weekend, he married his long time girlfriend, Sarah. The wedding was down in Williamsburg, VA- Jen and I flew to Richmond and then drove about 40 minutes east to W-burg. It was a beautiful service and a great reception that was hilighted by the antics of a "shit faced" Ed, as Mikey's Dad put it. More...

Kelly and Mark

Capping off our 2004 summer of weddings was that of Jen's maid-of-honor, Kelly, to her fiance Mark. Jen has known Kelly since their families met down the shore many years ago- though ironically enough, I knew her first as she was in my second grade class at Durban Avenue school in Hopatcong. The wedding was held at the Birchwood Manor- right off Route 10. A fun time was had by all... More...

The Match

Doug played this guy from Drew in tennis like 5 years ago and this was the long awaited re-match. Being down 40-love in the first game, Doug rallied back to steal that game as well as the next two. He won the first set on a hard fought 7-5. The second set was stopped at 5-5 as the heavens opened up with rain. So Doug took home some well deserved bragging rights thanks in part to his trademark gritty play. More...

John & Wendy

Jen and I trekked to the far reaches of Long Island at the end of July for the wedding between her brother, John, and his fiancee, Wendy. It was a very touching ceremony- especially the heartfelt vows that Wendy and John wrote for each other. John even wrote vows that he read to Wendy's sons, Dylan and Joseph. The rest of the night was spent eating, drinking and dancing the night away with a Jamaican steel drum band. More...

Tom & Jess

Our summer of weddings kicked off out in Connecticut, where Jen's counsin, Jessica, married her fiancee, Tom. The reception was at the Lighthouse Inn- right on the Connecticut side of Long Island Sound. It was a beautiful setting to get married. I brought up my trusty video camera and scored some really nice shots. There's a lot that can be said about seeing two people who are so in love with each other. More...

Hoboken Party at Joder's (Reprise)

Back in May '03, Doug and I went to Chad's apartment party and managed to offend about half the people there (Hiroshima Girl, No-Chest Hair Guy, Long Sideburns Guy, etc). This time we returned with some added ammo- Doug's friends Russ and Pete (and Jen came too, making this our first social event as a married couple). Hilarity ensued. More...

Whiskey Bar - Hoboken

If I had a nickel for every time I said "Man, that was one messed up night!" I'd have quite a few nickels, each with their own story. Went to Whiskey Bar in Hoboken with Jen, Rob, Ed, Mikey, Dimitri and D's Jen. Rob ended up sleeping in the van for half the night, the Jens fell asleep, Ed was off his ass, and I managed to find a bar that I didn't get kicked out of! More...

New Years Eve 2002

After having a blast at the East Hanover Ramada for New Years Eve 2001, Jen and I decided that we had to go back again. This time we invited a few more people to party with us. Even Todd took some time away from the Grotto to celebrate the New Year with us (and half of Hopatcong, much to Rob's chagrin...) More...

A Crazy Night in Hoboken

I've worked with a lot of really cool people during my years at Accenture, but probably none more so than the crew I was with during the Internet Gateway project (10/01-03/02). It's pretty awesome to be with a group of people that I enjoy being with even after 5:30 rolls around. So to spend some quality time together, we headed out to the streets of Hoboken... More...

NY/NJ Metrostars Home Opener

I know I'll never be the biggest soccer fan, but nothing beats a good tail gate, being around good friends, watching all the crazy soccer fans...and you can't forget the drums! It was terribly cold, but it was a great game, with the Mighty Metros winning at the 90th minute on a header off a rebound. Great time, but too cold. More...

14 Days in Nepal

The Philly Scene

I casually mentioned to Mikey that it had been a while since I'd been down to his apartment in Philly. I said we should get together and one thing happened after another and it turned out being a full blown blockbuster weekend with all the boys. I believe the words "Best Weekend Ever" were used at some point. I think shortly after Ed lost his shirt. More...

WiffleFest '00

Thirsting for a little more Wiffle action, Doug, Hob and I went back to the annual Trenton tourney for another dose. We beat a bunch of punk college baseball kids in our first game. That secured us a berth the following day- but Stanlick had to sub for Hob who had to work. We finished 1-2... More...

WiffleFest '99

Wiffleball was always our boyhood game of choice. We'd be up at the crack of dawn, before the dew even dried off the lawn, playing homerun derby. It was more than a game. It represented my youth. But the Wiffleball played at WiffleFest '99 was like no Wiffleball I'd ever seen. This wasn't your traditional backyard game of fun. This was our first glimpse at cut-throat, super-intense, professional Wiffleball. More...
